Thank you for your interest in creating
a scholarship through the Public Education Foundation. A scholarship
is a compassionate way to showcase your association. Every dollar of your scholarship
donation will go directly to the education of your student and
will not incur any administrative fees. As your partner,
the Foundation provides you with professional assistance in establishing
your scholarship, advertising and promotion to counselors and students,
clerical support, and an awards luncheon ceremony in May.
As a donor, your level of involvement
is up to you. If there
are people within your organization who are willing to review and
rate your applications, we would be delighted to involve them in
the process. The Foundation will promote, collect, screen,
reproduce, and mail or email the applications to everyone on your
committee and meet with these individuals to help determine your
recipient(s). In addition, a recognition luncheon is held
each year to give you the opportunity to meet your recipients.
The luncheon, attended by students, scholarship donors, educators,
and local media, serves to recognize scholarship recipients and
our appreciation for the caring people in our community who have
contributed to our scholarship program.
Over the last 15 years, the Foundation
has made significant contributions to the public school children
of Clark County improving the quality of teaching and learning
in the school district. To date,
our scholarship program has awarded almost $5 million to 2,160
Clark County School District seniors.
