HelpZone.org is a web site created with a generous grant from Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson. It represents a unique partnership among the Venetian, the Clark County Public Education Foundation, the BEST Coalition for A Safe and Drug-Free Nevada, and the Clark County School District.

Designed with input from Valley High School students, HelpZone.org is an Online Resource Clearinghouse that provides current information, ideas and resources to enhance drug and violence prevention. The goal of HelpZone.org is to play a critical role in:

• providing immediate access to accurate, relevant and scientific information.


• improving the overall health of our youth.


• ensuring a safe forum for sharing thoughts and ideas.


• forming a resource for teenagers seeking to avoid, prevent or reduce substance abuse.

Readily available to students, parents, educators and the community, HelpZone.org proves to be a powerful tool. Viewers are able to access community help lines, treatment centers, and drug and alcohol facts. In addition, viewers are able to post messages and view messages about drug prevention in the community, discuss activities that encourage students to stay drug free, and give input about weekly topics pertaining to drugs and alcohol prevention. HelpZone.org also provides children with a web site to turn to for anonymous assistance and helps teens understand drug-related issues.

General Statistics
Within the past year, 27,072 people have visited the HelpZone.org, spending an average over 4 minutes per visit. This indicates that an average of 74 people visited the site each day. 82.2% of the visitors accessed HelpZone.org from within the United States while 3.9% accessed the site from outside of the United States. HelpZone.org has provided valuable, accurate information to people throughout the world.
